As you can see, these aren't machine learning "companies" as far as I'm concerned.
When I post this question, I'm not looking for a resume listing, I'm looking for advice on what a question like this is/should be called. Is this a super new breed of question? Do any of these (or any other types of) tags need to be synonyms for "machine learning"? Should they be synonyms? Is this type of question appropriate?
A:
I think the terminology should be machine learning stack
I believe it is a little closer to the intended audience of the community, and should be a primary tag, even if there are other tags that some people may use to describe their particular question more accurately.
A question should be tagged using all the relevant tags and I believe this question should be tagged with all the relevant tags.
Is this a super new breed of question?
I don't think this is a new question at all. It's been asked many times already.
Do any of these (or any other types of) tags need to be synonyms for "machine learning"?
Absolutely not. The machine-learning tag is an umbrella tag and should not be redundant.
Should they be synonyms?
As another user has already suggested, it's good that we have more than one tag for a topic.
Is this type of question appropriate?
I don't think that this question is really about machine learning in general. It's a specific question about a specific programming language (Scala), but this is not the first question on SO that has touched upon the topic.
